The girl stands in front of her fifth grade class shaking. Slowly, as the words jump around on the page in front of her, she begins stuttering her way through the report. After the first few sentences, classmates begin making fun of her. After ten grueling minutes, the teacher impatiently cuts her off and orders her to her seat.

Later that day, he informs her that for the remainder of the week, she will be spending her recess time in the classroom with him working on her reading. When the girl asks why she is being punished, the teacher replies, "I do not reward laziness in this classroom. As long as you continue to daydream your way through class, you will forfeit your recess time."
